Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury Square Off at the Ferocious Undisputed Title Fight Confirmation Press Conference.

On February 17, during a heated press conference to confirm their undisputed heavyweight world title bout, Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk got into a heated argument and had to be pulled apart.

The long-awaited fight between WBC champion Fury and WBO, IBF, and WBA unified king Usyk in Saudi Arabia early next year was confirmed when the two faced off at a press conference in London on Thursday night.

After 'The Gypsy King' ignited the spark for the confrontation in Riyadh during a press conference, the two engaged in a heated altercation that resulted in their separation.

Fury interrupted Alexander Krassyuk, the promoter of Usyk, and the Ukrainian's manager Egis Klimas, accusing them of being dishonest and promising to strip Usyk of his belts the same manner he did to fellow countryman Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.

"You're welcome to be sharing a ring with the future undisputed heavyweight champion - me," Fury stated. " You are all dossers, he's getting knocked out, and you two [Krassyuk and Klimas] are going to be working for me carrying my bags, so remember I said that on this stage.

"I already relieved one Ukrainian of all the belts and I'll relieve that idiot of all the belts I gave him, including that Ring Magazine I only vacated last year so I could win it back three times, sausage.  You know what's coming, you're getting smashed to pieces. You're fighting the best British heavyweight there's ever been. You beat all the rest of them, but you ain't beat Tyson Fury, sausage."

In his most recent defense, Daniel Dubois of Britain proved to be an opponent for Usyk. December 23 was supposed to see Fury battle Usyk to unify all the belts, but instead, Fury faced Francis Ngannou, a former UFC champion boxer making his professional boxing debut, in a tougher 10-round match than anticipated.

He remained dedicated to the Usyk bout, and they have finally decided on an early-January date. The title of undisputed champion and every major heavyweight belt are up for grabs.

In 2020, Fury defeated Deontay Wilder via knockout. He repeated the feat in the rematch in 2021. The previous year, Fury successfully defended his title with stoppage victories over Derek Chisora and Dillian Whyte.

After defeating Anthony Joshua by unanimous decision in September 2021 and again by split decision in August 2022, Usyk unified three titles.

Speaking through Krassyuk, who was filling in for him, the 36-year-old Olympic gold medalist explained why he thinks he—not Fury—will become the first heavyweight champion to go undefeated in 24 years. He did this by citing a biblical story.

"I want to tell one story which looks very similar to our story with Tyson, about David and Golliath," Usyk said. "When the Lord gives me Tyson in my hands, I will make my job.

"The Lord has nothing impossible."
